8/11/14!!!

8/11/14 was an exciting day for me! There were lots of surprises in store!

First of all, I got the 346 to Upminster. When the bus braked, it made a terrible squeaky sound. EVERY TIME!!!! I've never heard the noise before on any London bus. It must have been a brake problem!

Next, I got the C2C to Barking and then the Barking to Gospel Oak line, more commonly known as the GOBLIN.

At Walthamstow Queen's Road, I took a short walk to Walthamstow Bus Station. On the way, I encountered these:

The 34 passed to Metroline on that day, with TEs and VWHs. I was waiting for a VWH, but the next one was in about 45 minutes, so I went into the shopping mall there.
Eventually, a VWH turned up on the departures, so I left for the Bus Station, and guess what? It was dropping off passengers there!

I took a photo of the bus station full of buses (3 in the foreground, 2 in the background) which for 5:05 is quite amazing!

You can see on the far left the bus on its stand.

I got on the brand new bus to Barnet Church.

Going the other way, I saw a VWH to Edmonton! Massive curtailment!

I took it all the way. It had faulty ibus on the first day of operation! For '34 To Barnet Church' It said "Kensal Green Sta Warkdel Pendulardr"

Towards the end of the journey, the bus was virtually empty.

For this stop (Athenaeum Road)

the ibus said "Athenaeum Poo"!!!! Very Amusing!

Eventually, after an hour and a bit journey, I got off to see the driver changing the board.

I also saw a funny stop name on the board!

I took a short walk to High Barnet Station.

After a fairly long day, I took the Northern Line to central London

and went home!!!

1-50 Completed!

In the summer holidays, I set myself the challenge of doing every London bus route 1-50! I completed it after some very long days out and some short. Most of the journeys were quite short. I have photographed all 50 and when you flick through them, it looks amazing! Here are the photos

I am sorry about the poor quality of some of the photos.

Expect a long wait for some more blog posts, sorry!
