Blog Update: What I will post now and Yesterday's trip to Greenwich

BLOG RESTARTING!

Blog Update:

So, I've decided to start this thing up again! From now on, I will  post a review of every day I go on! I will also post some other bus stuff too (e.g. new tenders), like before.

Yesterday's trip to Greenwich

Yesterday (November 19th) I travelled to Greenwich for a few hours. The only type of transport I got on was trains. To get there, I caught a C2C and a DLR and to get back I caught a DLR and 2 C2Cs. Here are my journey reviews (written on the trains):

C2C - I am traveling to Limehouse on a slow train, which is very busy because of football fans and is only 4 carriages long. PUT ON 8 CAR TRAINS C2C! The train is 357017.

DLR - I am traveling to Greenwich on a DLR, which is a lot less busy than the C2C. Onboard, there was a funny announcement where a man talked about changing for other DLR trains at Westferry. The Crossrail building at Canary Wharf finally looks open, however due to the 'Big Easy' being at the front, it looks a little tacky, which is a shame.
Unfortunately I didn't get the number of this train.

DLR 2 - I am traveling back to Limehouse on another DLR train, which is rather busy. This is mainly due to the crowds at Cutty Sark. This is a newer unit than before, a new-style one! Something I have noticed is that the 'Next Stop' boards are flip-dot and not LED like the old ones, but on the buses, the operators are moving from flip-dot to LED.
Also, this train has a member of staff standing at the front, but not seeming to drive - just making announcements! The train is unit 151.

C2C 2 - I am traveling on the train to Grays and getting off at Barking to continue the journey home, hopefully to catch a train that's come from Liverpool Street and continue the journey home. It was this or wait 20 minutes at Limehouse! However, we are being held up between West Ham and Barking due to an 'ongoing' signal failure. It turns out to be just next to Upney. Unfortunately, I didn't get the number of this train.

C2C 3 - I am traveling on the 17:31 C2C back home from Barking. This train is going towards Shoeburyness slow via Basildon. This arrived about 2 minutes after the Grays train left! Lucky! Unfortunately, I didn't get the number of this train

Bus of the Day:

VLA115 (LJ05BKF) started life at Arriva London travelling all day, every day from Tottenham Court Road to Penge on route 176. This bus has had a rather boring life, passing to Arriva Southern Counties/Kent Thameside for route 370 (being renumbered 6115)  and that's the end of that! ASC/AKT has merged with Arriva London since, so the original VLA115 has been renumbered again, this time back to VLA115! This is the bus of the day because... well, see for yourself!

Thanks for reading my first post for ages, hope you enjoyed it!
